Run, Ashley, RUN!

Have you ever seen the saying “I run like a heard of turtles through peanut butter but atleast I run?” Well, I can’t even say that right now. I have completely fallen off my running path.
I’m stuck. On the couch.

SO, I’ll use the couch as my starting point. Have you heard of the program Couch to 5k? (C25K ) ? I started running with this program two years ago. I really liked it. I felt like it was maintainable progression over the course of the 9 week program. I decided to use this program to get back on track with my running.

Here’s the program:
*each week has 3 days, each day starts with a 5 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down.
Week:
1 – 3 days, Each day is the same. 60 sec. running 90 sec BRISK walk- Repeat 8X

2 -3 days, Each day is the same. 90 sec. running, 2 min BRISK walk- Repeat 6X

3 -3 days, Each day is the same. 90 sec. running 90 sec BRISK walk- THEN, 3 min running and 3 min BRISK walk Repeat

4-  3 days, Each day is the same. 3 min running 90 sec BRISK walk- THEN, 5 min running and 2.5 min BRISK walk Repeat

5-  Day 1- 5 min running 3 min BRISK walk- Repeat 3X
Day 2- 8 min running 5 min BRISK walk- Repeat
Day 3-  20 min running

6-  Day 1- 5 min running 3 min BRISK walk- THEN, 8 min running and 3 min BRISK walk  THEN 5 min running
Day 2- 10 min running, 3 min BRISK walk- Repeat
Day 3- 22 min running

7-  3 Days- Each day is the same. 25 min running

8-  3 days- Each day is the same. 28 min running

9- 3 days till forever Each day is the same 30 min running Repeat every time you step outside 🙂

Sounds good right? Easy too. I am AMPED!
